Jitume Digital Economy Enablement Program
Jitume program is a national government initiative aimed at providing the youth with access to digital services, digital skills and online job opportunities. Through the Jitume program the government is partnering with TVETs, to train the youth where it has set Jitume ICT laboratories with virtual desktop computers. The primary objective for Jitume ICT labs is to train a public workforce, creating self-employment to the youth.
Here at Kajiado East TVC, the program is conducted in cohorts. Each cohort will comprise of Training and Mentorship sessions.
Current cohort
The training session will be conducted in 5 days starting from 17th June to 21th June 2024 for the current cohort three and followed by virtual mentorship training running from 24th June to 6th June 2024

Training Sessions
These sessions were conducted in 5 days starting from 25th September to 29th November 2023 for the first cohort and followed by the second cohort running from 2nd October to 6th October 2023
Mentorship Sessions
This was a 4 week program running from 3rd October to 28 October for the first cohort and 10th October to 4th November 2023 for the second cohort
Important information concerning the program
- Accommodation was provided at a subsidized rate of 2000 Shs
- Meals was provided at the cafeteria on a pay-as-you-eat basis at student rates.
