Our History
Kajiado east technical and vocational college is a local TVET institution. It is born from government initiative of making's youth to acquire technical skills and achievement of 100% transition to colleges. The institution is located at Enkeju Village, Kitengela ward, Kajiado East sub-county, Kajiado county. The construction started in the year 2017 and completed in 2019 under supervision and mentorship of Kajiado National polytechnic. it is a center of excellence for fashion design and information Technology.
The first principal: Mr David K. Kihanya, was posted by public service commission in the year 2019, inauguration of the first Board of members was done the same year. The deputy principal Mrs Florence Mitula was posted to the institution in January 2020 by public service commission. Both are now retired.
The institution expected to receive its first trainees in the year 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic , it did not go through. In January 2021 several trainees were admitted to pursue various courses.
Mr David K. Kihanya was succeeded by the current principal Dr Joslyne Karimi. Dr Joslyne Karimi succeeded Mrs Florence Mitula who was succeeded by Mrs Mary Mulatia who was later succeeded by current deputy principal academic affairs Mr. Wesley Mosigisi. The current deputy principal administration is George Kimotho. The institution has undergone tremendous growth in terms of facility and enrolment. The institution has the following departments: Hospitality and institutional management, Electrical Engineering, Information communication Technology, Building and Civil Engineering and Liberal. The currently the institution have over three hundred trainees.
